Both Medellín projects, Video/Barrio and Local Stories, Global Audiences have been unified into one proposal, with some changes:

There will be two workshops taking place, one will be Video/Barrio workshop taking place in La Loma de San Javier and the second will be a blogging workshop to take place in one of the public libraries, probably at Santo Domingo Sabio. The intercommunication between barrios will be between projects as well, where the videoworkshop writes about their projects and our community bloggers write about theirs and share experiences.

Goals and project vision remain the same for both projects, but the process has been adapted to work in a shorter timeframe.

Since Video/Barrio is planned for 6 months; Local Stories, Global Audiences will also work as a 6 month project in one community, however, the blogging workshop will maintain the total number of lessons. So instead of once a month, meetings will take place twice a month with the participants, and after the 6 month mark the blogs and videos will be presented to the community.

Both teams will share equipment and resources: the Video/Barrio participants will give a workshop on making and uploading video for the Local Stories, Global Audiences team, and the latter will work with Video/Barrio to support the group´s bloggers.

The Video/Barrio products will be subtitled to reach a wider audience, and there shall be a process blog for their project as well.

Both projects are meant to continue through the year or permanently with additional funding from outside sources and with the goal of eventually becoming self sufficient.
